Guppy Falls, Onondaga County New York 4-29-2015

Guppy Falls deserved a post of it’s own. This is located in the Skaneateles Conservation Area. There is a kiost at the parking area, with large map, as well as you can pick up a paper trail map of the area.

There is two different trails to access the falls. We chose to take the streambed in to get to the bottom of the falls. The other trail leads you up a set of stairs and to the above overlook. This took us about 30 minutes to walk into the falls.

The first thing we noticed was the uncountable number of eggs in the streambed. We only seen one frog!

Today’s roadtrip consisted of checking out some new locations for me. I used google imagery to first locate possible falls. Some of these locations are already well known, but new to me.

Cedar Bay Park, Ononadaga County, New York

This is part of the Old Erie Heritage Canal

This one is called Coye Road (falls on), Ononadaga County New York

the only view is from the roadside as it is private property on both sides. There was no real good photo opportunity for this one.

Gristmill Park, Ononadaga County, New York

and small falls downstream on Solvay Road

These next few location are along Highway 174, on Ninemile Creek, Ononadaga County, New York

I CALLED THIS ONE JAMESVILLE QUARRY DAM, AS THAT WAS THE LOCATION. I WAS ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR AN ACTUAL WATERFALL IN THE SAME GENERAL LOCATION.

This is set #2 of the waterfalls that I am asking my family, friends and viewers to vote for their favorite photo. Please do not vote on photos with people in them.

All three waterfalls are very popular. All are located in Madison County, New York

We have Chittenango Falls located at the Chittenango Falls State Park. Oxbow Falls located at Oxbow Falls state Park, and Stockbridge Falls (which has the Main Falls, Middle Falls and Lower Falls). Please note that all of the Stockbridge Falls is located on private property, roadside viewing only.

Lansing and Bakers Falls and Pixley Falls, Oneida County New York
Lansing and Bakers Falls is located just north of Pixley Falls. All three falls are located just south of Boonville on route 46.

Pixley Falls in located in the Boonville Gorge State Park. For the many times I have been here, I did not realize that the trail above the main falls held some smaller falls.

Lansing and Bakers Falls are in the same location together. Both falls face each other and then combine together.
